Holiday Party 2016
On Thursday, December 23rd the third graders enjoyed a holiday party hosted by many parents. We had a wonderful time! Thank you to all the parent volunteers!
Harvard Museum of Natural History
On December 20, 2016, third graders visited the Harvard Museum of Natural History. We had a chance to explore the hall of rocks and minerals, and watch a special presentation!
Native American Powwow
On November 22nd, the third graders hosted a Native American Powwow for family and friends. We hope they enjoyed our performances, and learning more about the Wampanoag tribe!
The Feast
On Thursday, November 17th the South School cafeteria staff and fifth graders hosted a Thanksgiving Feast. We all have so much for which to be thankful!
Halloween Party
On October 28th the 3M room parents and other volunteers hosted a classroom Halloween Party. We are so grateful for all of the hard work that went into planning this amazing event!
Native American Perspectives
On October 26th, Cathy and Dan from Native American Perspectives taught us about Native American culture and daily life. We even built our own tepee!
Plimoth Plantation
On October 14, 2016, third graders visited the Wampanoag Homesite and Pilgrim Village at Plimoth Plantation. It was a perfect fall day for our exploration!
Bike Rodeo 2016
On September 16, 2016, third graders had their first Bike Rodeo at South School. We learned how to buckle our helmets safely, and follow bike safety rules!

On September 13, 2016, we had a vocabulary lesson on the word "strolled." Ask your child which words his/her group thought meant the slowest speed and which meant the fastest speed.
