On Friday, February 15th we visited the Harvard Museum of Natural History. We watched a presentation about rocks and minerals and had the opportunity to explore the Museum!
Valentine's Day with our Kindergarten Buddies
Buddy Reading
On Tuesday, January 29th 3M visited KH to read to our kindergarten buddies. We practiced our fluency to prepare for this visit, and read with proper speed, cadence, and expression. The kindergarteners were captivated by our mature story-telling!
Holiday Party
On December 20th, our room parents and other parent volunteers organized a fun and festive winter party. We made snow globes, played a team game, and listened to holiday stories. We also made fun memories!
Powwow 2018
On Tuesday, November 20th the third graders celebrated the culmination of their study of Native Americans with a Powwow celebration!
Harvest Party
On Friday, October 26th the 3M parents organized a Harvest Party. We listened to fall-themed stories, created spooky forests, played pumpkin ring toss, and enjoyed a tasty snack. It was a blast!
Wind-Propelled Cars
3M completed our first engineering project last week. The challenge was to create a car propelled only by wind, and everyone met the challenge within a limited time frame! We used only Life Savers, paper, tape, and straws to create our cars.
Plimoth Plantation
On Friday, October 19th third graders visited Plimoth Plantation to meet Native Americans and "Pilgrims." We enjoyed our journey through history!
Third Grade Bike Rodeo
On Friday, September 14th, 3M participated in their first Bike Rodeo. Thank you to Officer John for teaching us important safety tips, and to the parent volunteers who cheered for us!
