Day 10

3/30/2020

Hello!

You won't believe what happened last night. Here is my one word to describe my night: STINK.

Both of my dogs were sprayed by a skunk when we let them out in the backyard around 11:30pm! Mr. Martel and I were up all night giving the dogs special baths in the garage, then second baths in the bathroom, then cleaning the house and the bathroom. My house still smells a little like skunk in the back room and in the garage. Ew!

Today was a better day, and during indoor recess Sabine and I made play dough. We tried to make it purple, but it came out looking gray. Sabine used a pig cookie cutter to cut out pig-head shapes, and then added eyes and mouths using a fork. She called her creation "pig robots." I'm thinking about submitting her work to the Institute of Contemporary Art - what do you think?

Margot has just started to understand what "kiss" and "hug" mean and can do them on command. Today she kept kissing and hugging her Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald stuffed animals. I think she loves them so much because she sees how much her sister loves those characters! She can say all of their names now, but says "Mick" for Mickey and "Goof" for Goofy.

I had a lot of meetings today about how your learning activities may change a bit next week. I'll tell you more about them soon!

Love,
Mrs. Martel

Hi Chloe! I can't wait to check out the windows next time we drive through Hingham. You should be proud of yourself for completing 20 pages of cursive! That's a lot of practice! What were you writing about?
