Day 14

Hi all,

We had a busy weekend! Margot's first birthday was Saturday, and Sabine and I decorated the house and wrapped presents while Margot was asleep. Sabine was really excited to hang up banners and streamers!

We did FaceTime with a lot of family members throughout the day, and the four of us enjoyed cake as a family. Many of Margot's cousins sent her presents and she opened them. I will post a picture soon of the tunnel and tent she got. It takes up most of our living room!

For dinner Margot had her first slice of pizza, and she loved it. She also enjoyed her own strawberry smash cake that Sabine and I made from scratch.

I can't wait to hear about your weekends! Hopefully we'll chat on Google Classroom this week as well. I'll be checking there often to see your work and your posts.

dear Mrs Martel,
it is so good that Margot is 1!!! in the pictures it looks like you let her smash the cake .my aunt and uncle let my 3 year old cousin do that.

Hi Paige! We did let her smash the cake. She was very timid about it, and kept sticking just one finger in or grabbing strawberries off the top. I let Sabine stab it with a fork to get her started :)
